Q: What was the initial inspiration for setting up EcoView Retreat?
A: We created EcoView as a purpose-built venue for retreat hosts and event organisers to support their guests in a serene, nature-immersed setting.
Sitting high in the Tallebudgera Valley, EcoView features 15 private villas, treatment rooms, plunge pools and a dedicated yoga and movement studio, it’s a sanctuary designed to elevate wellbeing experiences.
As people focus more on living longer and better, the future lies in spaces that integrate wellness, fitness and lifestyle.
EcoView was created with that vision in mind, a purpose-built venue where retreat hosts and event organisers can support their guests in a serene, nature-immersed setting.
Q: There’s quite a bit of competition in the wellness market. What makes your offering different to other products in the H&W space?
A: What makes EcoView stand out is the way we’ve designed every part of the retreat. From the villas that overlook beautiful natural views to the peaceful, open surroundings, everything is created to help people slow down, connect and feel refreshed.
Our space is flexible, so retreat organisers can shape their experience to suit their goals, whether it’s rest and relaxation, creativity, or team connection.
We also offer features that go beyond what you’d usually expect from a retreat venue. There’s an extensive chef’s kitchen that’s great for shared meals or cooking demonstrations, as well as recovery facilities like plunge pools and infrared saunas.
It’s this mix of nature, comfort and functionality that makes EcoView a little different from the rest.
Q: Why do you think there’s such a boom in wellness travel?
A: We’re living in a time where people are more connected digitally but increasingly disconnected from themselves, their teams and the natural environment.
Wellness travel is booming because people are searching for spaces where they can recharge not just physically, but mentally.
The pandemic also shifted priorities; more companies are recognising the importance of staff wellbeing as a long-term investment and they are looking for experiences that help their teams connect and get stronger.
Q: So what kind of experience is someone going to have at your retreat?
A: A stay at EcoView Retreat is calm, refreshing and designed to help people switch off and recharge.
Hosts and their guests wake up to wide-open views, fresh air and plenty of space to think clearly, connect with others, or simply relax.
Whether it’s walking the local trails, meditating on the deck, taking part in a workshop, or just enjoying some quiet time, the experience is all about creating room to slow down in a stunning natural environment.
Q: What kind of clients are you hoping to attract?
A: Our retreat is ideal for corporates, wellness facilitators, course providers and small groups.
We work with businesses hosting leadership offsites, yoga and mindfulness practitioners running retreats, as well as individuals looking to host an intimate private event.
Q: Is sustainability a major part of what you do?
A: Yes, we’re lucky to be located in the stunning Tallebudgera Valley, nestled in the hinterland of the Gold Coast. Surrounded by national parks like Burleigh Head and Springbrook, the area is rich in native flora and fauna.
Being in such a nature-rich environment makes it even more important for us to care for it.
That means conserving water wherever possible, protecting the surrounding landscape, avoiding disruption to the land and supporting local suppliers.
We’ve designed EcoView Retreat to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings so guests can enjoy the beauty of the valley, while knowing it’s being respected and preserved.
Q: Finally, what are your hopes for the future of EcoView Retreat?
A: Our vision is to continue growing EcoView as a trusted destination for retreat organisers and event hosts.
We’d love to see it become a go-to space for teams looking to reconnect, organisations seeking clarity and individuals in search of something deeper.
Ultimately, we hope EcoView Retreat becomes a place that inspires people to slow down, reconnect and enjoy a little bit of calm in a busy world.
