The group travelled as part of the brand’s 2025 agent experience series designed to deepen product knowledge through immersive, on-the-ground travel.

The famil was led by local guide Rony Rahman and hosted by Nicola McKenzie, Intrepid’s Key Partnerships Manager.

The seven-day ‘Classic Borneo’ trip featured river safaris, sightings of the famous Borneo Big 5 and a visit to Second World War memorial sites along the Sandakan Death March route.

“This trip was an amazing experience. It wasn’t just the incredible animals or the beautiful jungles, it was Rony, our guide, who brought his history and experience to life,” said Nicola.

“It was the agents swapping stories and tips, the late-night card games by the river and the early morning monkey sightings. The taste of new food, new smells and meeting locals along the way, everything combined to make this trip truly fantastic.”

Agents on the famil included Mike Wood, Colin Hood, Nick Good, Kayla McDiarmid, Brooklyn Porter, Ingrid Kellock and Jackie Prosser.

“Wow, what a trip! Borneo with Intrepid delivered! Unforgettable wildlife, amazing food and a guide who brought every moment to life,” said Kayla McDiarmid.

Five more famils are planned for 2025 with varying consortia, giving even more agents the opportunity to experience Intrepid’s purpose-driven product first-hand.

Plus Intrepid’s “Sell 15, Get 1 Free” for all front-line selling agents is running until the end of the year.

To be eligible for a free trip, advisors must book 15 trips worth more than $1,000 with a minimum deposit of $99 during the 12-month incentive period.
