Adina Apartment Hotels is making its Tasmanian debut, with the premium apartment style brand set to open its first Hobart property later this year.
The 48 key Adina Hobart will form part of a mixed use development already home to the 142 key Vibe Hobart, strengthening TFE Hotels’ presence in the Tasmanian capital at a time when visitor numbers are at record highs.
Designed to reflect its natural surroundings, Adina Hobart takes inspiration from Tasmania’s eucalypt forests, with interiors featuring natural timbers, neutral tones and accents of soft green and deep orange. The result is a calm, contemporary space that blends local character with Adina’s signature apartment style comfort.
Owners and developers Richard and Annalisa Doedens worked closely with TFE Hotels on the project, taking a hands on approach to ensure the property feels intrinsically connected to Tasmania while aligning with the brand’s evolving design direction.
The hotel will offer a mix of studios and one and two bedroom apartments, with some able to interconnect to create three bedroom options. Each apartment is designed for longer stays, with fully equipped kitchens, generous living spaces and the flexibility to live, work and unwind in privacy.
Guests staying at Adina Hobart will also have full access to shared onsite facilities within the development, including Belvedere restaurant and bar, conference spaces, a pool and gym.
TFE Hotels Group Chief Operating Officer Chris Sedgwick said the Hobart opening reflects growing demand for premium apartment style accommodation across Australia and internationally.
“As we expand our global footprint, we’re seeing increasing demand for apartment style hotels that offer the space, flexibility and contemporary design that Adina does so well,” Sedgwick said.
Hotel General Manager Jamie Capp (pictured above) said apartment style accommodation plays an important role in supporting Hobart’s visitor economy by encouraging longer stays and deeper engagement with the destination.
“Having apartment style accommodation in the heart of the city gives visitors the flexibility to stay longer, explore more deeply with family and connect more meaningfully with Tasmania,” Capp said.
With both Adina and Vibe now operating from the same CBD site, TFE Hotels is offering travellers greater choice, whether visiting Hobart for business, culture or nature.
Adina Hobart is expected to welcome guests in the second half of the year
