Club Med has welcomed 11 travel agents for its exclusive Japan ski fam.

Advisors from New South Wales, ACT and Victoria got a first-hand experience of the company’s premium ski offering at Club Med Kiroro Grand in Hokkaido.

The famil comes as demand for Club Med’s Japan ski resorts surges, with early bird sales for the 2026/27 season up 80 per cent year-on-year and new guest numbers rising 66 per cent in the first week alone.

Michelle Davies, Club Med Pacific and New ESAP Markets General Manager, said the results reflected a clear shift in booking behaviour.

“Sales increased by 80 per cent year-on-year, alongside a 66 per cent rise in new guest numbers, reinforcing a clear shift towards travellers booking earlier to secure their preferred ski experiences,” Ms Davies said.

Agents began their journey experiencing Japan Airlines’ economy, premium economy and business class cabins before arriving in Tokyo, where they stayed across two properties including the New Otani Hotel and The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho.

From Tokyo, the group flew north on Japan Airlines’ A350-900 aircraft to Hokkaido, where they experienced Club Med Kiroro Grand’s all-inclusive offering first-hand, from professional ski fittings and group lessons to multiple dining venues and signature après-ski entertainment.

Yukari Kato, Japan Airlines Passenger and Agency Sales Account Manager, said Australia’s appetite for Japan continued to grow beyond the snow season.

“We are seeing a growing trend of repeat visitors exploring Japan throughout the year. Japan Airlines operates direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Tokyo, providing a seamless gateway for Australians to experience Japan,” Ms Kato said.

Travel agents with clients keen to experience Club Med’s Japan ski resorts can still access early bird 2027 savings of up to 20 per cent, with the offer closing April 2. For more information visit the Club Med Travel Agents Portal.
