A four-year airline partnership linking South and North America has expanded with nine new routes and a 31% increase in planned capacity compared with 2023.

Between October 2022 and July 2026, LATAM and Delta operated around 83,000 flights under their Joint Venture, offering more than 20 million seats and carrying 17.4 million passengers.

The airlines have operated 28 joint routes since the agreement began, including nine additions.

New connections include São Paulo to Los Angeles and Buenos Aires to Miami with LATAM, alongside Atlanta to Lima with LATAM and Atlanta to Cartagena with Delta.

More than half of passengers carried through the partnership have travelled on connecting itineraries, with 9.4 million using onward connections.

The combined networks currently provide access to more than 300 destinations across the United States, Canada and South America.

Ramiro Alfonsin, LATAM Airlines Group Chief Commercial Officer, said the complementary networks had increased both destination choice and connectivity for passengers.

“The Joint Venture has enabled us to offer our passengers more destinations and better connections by bringing together two highly complementary networks,” Mr Alfonsin said.

The partnership has also expanded progressively across South America. It launched in 2022 covering Chile, Brazil, Peru and Colombia, with Ecuador joining in 2024 and Argentina in 2025.

Loyalty benefits have been integrated across the two airlines, allowing eligible LATAM Pass and Delta SkyMiles members to earn and redeem miles across both carriers.

Nearly 1.4 million members have earned miles or qualifying points through the partnership since its launch.

Further network growth is planned as LATAM introduces A321XLR aircraft and Delta continues its fleet modernisation, creating opportunities for additional routes and frequencies between the two regions.
