Why All-Inclusive Ski Holidays Are Having A Moment In Australia
With cost of living pressures reshaping how Australians plan their holidays, all-inclusive ski packages are emerging as one of the smartest ways to hit the slopes without the financial surprises.
Recent research shows 71 per cent of Australians are prioritising peace of mind in their travel choices, with 61 per cent citing cost of living as the biggest driver of their decisions. For ski travel, where the real cost is often hidden in lift passes, equipment hire, lessons, meals on-mountain and après-ski, price certainty has never been more appealing.
Michelle Davies, Club Med General Manager for Pacific and New ESAP Markets, said all-inclusive pricing removed the uncertainty that made ski trips feel financially unpredictable.
“Bringing daily expenses such as lessons and equipment hire into one upfront price removes the uncertainty of how much each day on the slopes will really cost, and allows guests to relax into the experience. The added benefit of an all-inclusive provider is flexibility without financial friction. Whether it’s trying snowboarding instead of skiing, indulging in premium dining or unwinding with a traditional wellness experience, travellers aren’t weighed down by the idea of wasting money if something isn’t for them,” Ms Davies said.
The trend is playing out in booking data. Sales for Club Med’s four Japan ski resorts grew 79 per cent within the first week of sales opening for the 2027 ski season, compared to the same period last year, as travellers look to maximise value without compromising on experience.
