Carnival Cruise Line is adding a new layer of luxury to its popular Moreton Island itineraries, unveiling what it says is Australia’s first beachfront cabana club designed exclusively for cruise passengers.
The new Tangalooma Dunes Cabana Club will open on 1 August, offering Carnival guests sailing from Sydney the opportunity to reserve one of 20 private beachfront cabanas at Moreton Island.
Designed to accommodate up to eight people, the cabanas provide a dedicated space for families and groups to relax throughout the day. Features include direct beach access, water views, lockable storage, a fridge, towels, adjustable shutters, cooling fans and charging ports for electronic devices.
The launch comes as Carnival continues to expand its offering at Moreton Island through its long-standing partnership with Tangalooma Island Resort, which provides exclusive cruise access to the destination.
“We are proud to offer the first beachfront cabana club for cruise guests in Australia,” Carnival Cruise Line Assistant Vice President Sales and Marketing, Anton Loeb said.
“The cabanas are perfect for families or groups of friends looking to spend a day relaxing in style on beautiful Moreton Island.”
Carnival’s Sydney-based ships, Carnival Adventure and Carnival Splendor, sail year-round to Moreton Island, with nine visits scheduled during the winter season.
The cruise line says demand for close-to-home holidays remains strong, with the South Pacific, Moreton Island and Airlie Beach ranking among Australians’ most popular winter cruise destinations.
“There’s no better way to enjoy some warmth this winter than with a relaxing, great-value holiday onboard a Carnival cruise to Tangalooma,” Loeb said.
“It’s convenient, fun and a great way to bring loved ones together.”
The private beachfront cabanas are now available to pre-book for $399.99 per cabana on sailings departing from 1 August.
