A 28-day cruise marking Pan Am’s 100th anniversary will combine aviation history, themed dining and specialist shore excursions when it departs Miami on October 30, 2027.
Sailing roundtrip aboard Zuiderdam, the voyage will retrace parts of Pan Am’s historic Caribbean and Central American network, with onboard programming exploring the people, aircraft and destinations that shaped the airline.
Guest speakers will include aviation historians and former Pan Am figures, while elements of the airline’s former Clipper Club airport lounges will be recreated onboard.
Presentations will cover subjects ranging from Pan Am’s Flying Clippers and service culture to its role in the development of international aviation.

Paul Grigsby, Holland America Line Vice President Itinerary Planning and Deployment, said the program would connect the history of both travel brands throughout the voyage.
“With this cruise, we’re bringing that era to life while merging elements of Pan Am’s storied history with Holland America Line’s signature experiences,” Mr Grigsby said.

Dining will also draw on dishes once associated with Pan Am flights, including filet mignon, sole en croûte and Grand Marnier soufflé. A dedicated cocktail menu will feature reinterpretations of drinks including the Pan Am Cocktail and Clipper Cocktail.
Special shore excursions will explore the airline’s connections with destinations along the route.
In Cartagena, guests can explore the city in classic roadsters, while a Colón excursion combines the Agua Clara Locks and Panama Canal Railway.
Other options include Shirley Heights in Antigua and the former Pan Am flying boat base at Chaguaramas in Trinidad and Tobago.
Craig Carter, Pan Am Global Holdings CEO, said the itinerary reflected routes associated with the airline’s early Flying Clipper era while giving travellers a way to explore its history both onboard and ashore.
