Disney have launched a new Princess Cavalcade featuring Rapunzel, Moana, Raya and Tiana on elaborately designed floats celebrating each character’s unique world.

The attraction has launched at Disney Adventure World in Paris, running several times daily along the shores of Adventure Bay.

The cavalcade includes an interactive midpoint where the princesses step down from their floats to teach guests signature moves: Moana shares traditional Pacific Islands dance steps while Raya demonstrates martial arts-inspired choreography, with adventure companions inviting select guests to join the action.

The production took a year and a half to develop with 287 rehearsal hours invested.

Costumes reflecting each princess’s colour palette were designed by the Disneyland Paris creative team and crafted in France, while the floats were built by a Nice-based street art specialist.

The craftsmanship extends to extraordinary detail: 120 metres of fringe handcrafted for Moana’s kites, 900 pieces of fabric sewn for Raya’s dragons, 24 hand-sculpted feathers for Tiana’s companions and 13 sculpted ducks adorning Rapunzel’s float.

Two original songs recorded between Nashville and Paris by around 50 musicians provide the soundtrack for every pass, drawing inspiration from famous Disney Princess themes.

Beloved sidekicks Heihei, Pua, Tuk Tuk, Ray and Pascal appear on each float, while the floats themselves recreate Motunui, the Heart Palace, festive New Orleans and The Snuggly Duckling tavern.
