Celebrity River Cruises has launched a new destination discovery program designed to offer more immersive experiences across Europe.
The program introduces four curated experience categories that will be available across all 2027 and 2028 itineraries as well as pre- and post-cruise stays in Prague, Budapest and Amsterdam.
Laura Hodges Bethge, President, Celebrity Cruises, said the initiative aims to create more meaningful connections between travellers and destinations.
“On a Celebrity River Cruises holiday, no two days are the same because no two places are,” Ms Hodges Bethge said.
“We have built a destination program that connects guests to Europe more personally than anything the river cruise industry has offered before.”

Local Stories And Hands-on Experiences
The Storyteller Series features experiences led by local residents and cultural insiders who share personal insights into each destination.
In Amsterdam, guests explore the famous canals with a captain who reveals hidden waterways and the city’s long relationship with water.
The Skillmaster Series offers hands-on cultural experiences with local artisans. In Budapest, travellers can cook traditional Hungarian dishes with a local grandmother after visiting the Central Market Hall for fresh ingredients.

Independent Exploration And Exclusive Events
The Keys to the City Series allows guests to explore independently using interactive maps, audio guides and digital content that highlight local food, art and architecture.
The Celebrity Takeover Series delivers exclusive experiences once per sailing, transforming well known landmarks and city spaces into private events for cruise guests.
Guests can also extend their journeys with multi day pre- and post-cruise stays in Prague and Budapest from 2027, with Amsterdam joining in 2028.
Bookings for these stays will open later this year, while the destination experiences will become available to book in 2027. Celebrity River Cruises sailings are already on sale.
