HVL Hotels has offered the travel industry a first glimpse of Laval, a new luxury resort opening in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales in 2027.
An immersive showcase event in Sydney brought together more than 60 industry leaders, media, travel agents and partners for a preview of what awaits at the 66-hectare historic Lindeman’s Estate in Pokolbin, where 65 pavilion-style villas will sit within a commercial vineyard.
Karen Jones, Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer, said the resort would play an instrumental role in positioning the Hunter Valley as a globally competitive luxury destination, with the initial investment generating $568 million in economic activity over 10 years and sustaining an average of 120 jobs per year.
Highlights include a world-class 1,000-square-metre longevity spa introducing technology not previously seen in Australia, a culinary program by Justin North spanning Mediterranean restaurant Vallery and poolside bar La Vida, a wine list of more than 1,000 bottles curated by Jon Osbeiston and intricate landscape design featuring 21,000 new plantings.
Laval will also house one of the world’s largest collections of Gillie and Marc artworks, with 13 major sculptures planned for the grounds alongside more than 130 in-room pieces and digital artworks, creating what the artists described as a living gallery woven into the guest journey.
