Korean Air has finally completed a 42-month, ₩110 billion overhaul of its lounges at Incheon International Airport, unveiling its renovated first class and prestige class offerings this week.

The project more than doubles the airline’s total lounge footprint at the terminal, expanding from 5,105 to 12,270 square metres and increasing seating capacity from 898 to 1,566. Korean Air will now operate seven lounges at Incheon Terminal 2.

The redesigned first class lounge spans 921 square metres, more than twice the size of the previous facility, and is divided into an open hall and 11 private suites inspired by traditional Korean architecture, with wood pillars, beams and ramie textures throughout.

Dining is served à la carte using Christofle cutlery, Bernardaud porcelain and Baccarat glassware alongside traditional Korean brassware and white porcelain by Korean artisans.

The lounge also features a curated art collection including works by internationally renowned artist Anish Kapoor alongside acclaimed Korean artists.

The prestige class west lounge is the largest single lounge facility at the airport, spanning 2,615 square metres with more than 420 seats.

The space features an expansive buffet of Korean and Western cuisine with live cooking stations and handmade desserts crafted by Grand Hyatt chefs, a full-service bar, a dedicated Tech Zone for business travellers and dynamic digital art installations that shift according to the time and viewing angle.

Following the completion of the Incheon lounges, Korean Air will continue upgrades at Gimpo International Airport and New York’s JFK Airport.
