Virgin Australia has launched its latest sale, releasing half a million economy fares to Sydney, Byron Bay and Newcastle from $55 one way.

Libby Minogue, Virgin Australia Chief Marketing and Customer Operations Officer, said value was at the heart of the offer.

“We know value matters more than ever, which is why we’re making it easier for Australians to get away with fares starting from just $55 one-way into New South Wales’ most popular travel destinations,” Ms Minogue said.

Sale highlights include Sydney to Ballina-Byron Bay from $55, Gold Coast to Sydney from $69, Sunshine Coast to Sydney from $75, Brisbane to Sydney from $105, Melbourne to Sydney from $105 and Perth to Sydney from $255.

Economy X upgrade seats are also on sale from $15 per person per sector on selected flights.

Velocity Frequent Flyer members can also book Reward Seats from 5,900 Points one way for domestic Economy fares.

Virgin Australia recently launched Australia’s first all-in-one flight search tool combining cash fares, Points and Reward Seat options in a single calendar view.

The sale is available to book until 11:59pm (AEST) April 26 for travel on selected dates between May 19 and December 16.
