The itinerary blended cultural immersion, fun activities and delicious cuisine, offering a memorable experience in one of Southeast Asia’s most captivating destinations.

The Stars were split into three groups to maximise the experiences on offer, then came together in Hoi An to celebrate at a Gala Dinner event at the Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort.

Re-introduced this year, the Mega Stars program celebrated the best performing agents by inviting them to join a program of experiences.

These included a seaplane journey over Ha Long Bay and an overnight cruise on the Emeraude Classic, a vintage-style paddle steamer, to sail the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Other activities included kayaking, traditional tea ceremony, sunrise yoga, squid fishing (although not very successfully) and cave exploring.

Other experiences across the groups included exploring Hanoi and the city’s rich blend of Eastern tradition and French-colonial charm, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ngoc Son Temple and the Temple of Literature.

Travelling by cyclo (a pedal powered three wheeled vehicle) through the Old Quarter was also enjoyed by the group, to experience the charm and traditions of the city firsthand.

In the south, the Stars enjoyed a cruise on the Mekong Delta aboard the Cai Be Princess, followed by a visit to artisanal workshops and a guided city tour of Ho Chi Minh City, including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Opera House.

Coming together in Hoi An, the Stars joined a walking tour of the old town, bamboo basket boat rides and lantern making lessons, as well as a cycling excursion to the renowned Tra Que vegetable village, a traditional craft village where the groups learnt about traditional cultural values and the sustainable practices of the local people.

At the Gala Dinner the announcement was made that the Global Stars and Mega Stars destination for 2026 will be the Northern Territory. Running next October, the itinerary will include one night in Alice Springs, one night in Kings Canyon and two nights at Uluru.

Global Stars is an annual program rewarding the top agents in Australasia for support and sales across VIVA Holidays, GO Holidays and ReadyRooms.
