Helloworld Travel has expanded its footprint with the opening of Helloworld Travel Nerang on the Gold Coast.
Located inside Nerang Mall, the new store officially opened its doors last week, with events including a special dinner followed by in‑store celebrations.
The opening represents a milestone for owners Tina Pizzoni and Rechelle Dare (below).
Ms Pizzoni is also owner of Helloworld Travel Rochedale in Brisbane, with the Nerang opening marking her transition to a multi‑store operator within the network and adding another strategically positioned location on the Gold Coast.
Nerang Mall offers a high‑convenience retail environment with strong local ties, providing an ideal setting for a community‑focused travel business built around personalised service and face‑to‑face consultation.
Ms Pizzoni is a long‑standing member of the Helloworld Travel and Harvey World Travel networks, with more than 24 years of involvement.
She began her career with Harvey World Travel in 2002 at the same Rochedale location, later becoming the proud owner in 2014.
Building on the ongoing success of her Rochedale agency, the opening of Helloworld Travel Nerang reflects both Tina’s continued growth as a business owner and the strength of the brand and the opportunities available within the network for experienced agents.
Rechelle Dare also began her travel career with Harvey World Travel, starting in Robina in 2004.
She progressed into a more senior role at HWT in Helensvale Westfield and going on to become the manager of the same store.
“Twenty‑one years ago, when Rechelle and I met on a travel famil trip in New York City, neither of us could have imagined that one day our shared love of travel would turn into a business together,” said Tina.
“Today we are friends of twenty-one years, with decades of travel experience, and are now business partners.”
Adrian Boccia, General Manager of Network Development at Helloworld Travel, said the opening demonstrates the enduring relevance and importance of physical travel agencies.
“This store opening reinforces the importance of bricks‑and‑mortar locations, particularly as travellers increasingly seek reassurance, expertise and personalised support through face‑to‑face consultation,” Mr Boccia said.
“Being involved in turning a long‑standing friendship into a business partnership is something extra special.”
