A new 328-room lifestyle hotel will open in Sydney in 2029, marking the Australian debut of the Radisson RED brand.

Radisson RED Sydney Haymarket will occupy a 31-storey new build tower located near Central Station. It will be handy for Sydney Light Rail, Chinatown, Darling Harbour, the International Convention Centre and the Tech Central precinct.

The hotel will feature a restaurant, lobby café bar, pool bar, outdoor pool, fitness centre and 218-square-metres of meeting space.

A dedicated early and late check out lounge will also be included, aimed at giving domestic and international guests more flexibility around arrival and departure times.

“The signing of Australia’s first Radisson RED marks an important milestone in our Australasia expansion plan,” said Elie Younes, Radisson Hotel Group Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer.

The property will be developed in partnership with Ceerose and will be only 6.3 kilometres from Sydney Airport.

Edward Doueihi, Ceerose Founder and Managing Director, said the hotel had been designed to reflect the continued transformation of Sydney’s southern CBD.

“Its location at the gateway to the CBD, close to Central Station, Tech Central and some of the city’s most important visitor and business precincts, creates a compelling opportunity for a new lifestyle hotel,” Mr Doueihi said.

The signing adds to Radisson Hotel Group’s wider development pipeline across Australasia, spanning lifestyle, upper upscale, resort and conversion projects.
