Jetstar will soon make it easier for Sunshine Coast locals to head overseas, with new direct flights from the Sunshine Coast to Bali starting 25 March 2026 and easy onward connections to Singapore.

Operating three times a week on Jetstar’s Airbus A321LR aircraft, the service will offer more than 70,000 low-fare seats each year.

The new route is the first ever direct link between the Sunshine Coast and Bali, cutting travel time to around six hours and removing the need for travellers to first drive to Brisbane.

The Sunshine Coast–Bali route becomes Jetstar’s tenth direct service from Australia to Bali and its fourth from Queensland, following the successful Gold Coast launch earlier this year.

Travellers will also be able to connect through Bali to Jetstar’s flights to Singapore, departing the Sunshine Coast in the morning and arriving in Singapore by evening.

Singapore’s Changi Airport serves as a key hub for the Qantas Group’s international network, offering connections throughout Southeast Asia, Europe and beyond. The route also provides new access for visitors and business travellers coming to the Sunshine Coast, giving the region a boost in global visibility and tourism reach.

To mark the launch, Jetstar is running a 48-hour sale with one-way fares from the Sunshine Coast to Bali starting from just $199. Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully described the route as a game changer for South-East Queensland travellers.

“We’re proud to be the first airline to connect the Sunshine Coast to Bali and Singapore,” she said. “With direct flights to Bali, travellers can trade hours on the road to Brisbane for extra time in paradise.”

Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Chris Mills said the new route represents a transformational moment for the region.

“For the first time, locals can fly direct to Bali for an island holiday. But it gets even better — after a short stop in Bali, the services connect on to Singapore, opening up destinations right across Asia, Europe and beyond,” he said.

“It strengthens the Sunshine Coast’s position as a global gateway for Queensland.”
