A new national marine brand will bring together ferry and coastal services linking travellers with island destinations across Tasmania, Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Launched by Journey Beyond, Island Connections combines recently acquired SeaLink operations across Bruny Island, the Whitsundays, K’gari, the Tiwi Islands, Groote Eylandt and the Darwin to Mandorah route.

The services collectively carry more than 400,000 guests each year, connecting visitors and local communities with destinations ranging from Tasmania to the Top End.

Jennifer Vandekreeke, Journey Beyond Managing Director Experiences & Attractions, said the new brand would bring the services under one identity while maintaining the character of each destination.

“What makes Island Connections exciting is the opportunity to bring these marine services together while celebrating what makes each destination unique,” Ms Vandekreeke said.

“Our role is to support the people who know these destinations best and bring these iconic destinations within reach of more travellers.”

Across its broader marine portfolio, Journey Beyond now operates more than 150 vessels and welcomes 2.6 million guests annually.

Bookings for Island Connections are now open.
