Accor has introduced its greet hotel brand to Australia, opening its first Pacific property in Alice Springs.

The 80-room greet Hotel Alice Springs is located near Todd Mall and offers complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, free parking and an outdoor swimming pool.

The property also includes Stumps Café and Uncle’s Tavern, adding casual dining and social spaces aimed at both hotel guests and the local community.

Adrian Williams, Accor Chief Operating Officer Pacific, said the brand was designed around straightforward accommodation, value and local character.

“greet is all about simple, feel-good travel. It is big on personality, low on fuss and designed around the things guests truly value: comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and great value,” Mr Williams said.

Launched in France in 2019, greet has grown to around 40 hotels across Europe. The brand focuses on practical accommodation, reuse of existing materials, waste reduction and locally sourced products.

The Alice Springs property is owned by Iris Capital, expanding the company’s Accor portfolio to 18 hotels across Australia.

Sam Arnaout, Iris Capital CEO, said Alice Springs was well suited to the brand’s focus on local identity and accessible pricing.

“Alice Springs is a destination with incredible character, community and tourism appeal, and greet is a brand that allows those qualities to come through,” Mr Arnaout said.

To mark the opening, the hotel is offering 15% off its Best Flexible Rate for bookings made by September 30, for stays until January 31, 2027. Rates start from $99 per night, subject to availability.
