This professional development program is tailored for consultants who have secured formal travel qualifications and are now ready to take their careers to the next level.

Combining self-paced learning with monthly Zoom masterclasses, the six-month program will explore a range of topics, including leadership, strategic communications and business innovation.

Travellers Choice Managing Director Christian Hunter says the aim of the program – developed in collaboration with Cornerstone People Solutions – is three-fold.

“We want to equip experienced consultants with a suite of skills in business development and leadership that can cement their position within the industry, add greater value to member businesses and potentially further develop a natural succession pipeline within the group,” he said.

The new program compliments ProStart, an innovative, free-of-charge, three-month training program Travellers Choice launched earlier this year for new entrants to the travel industry.

Mr Hunter says Travellers Choice members have embraced ProStart, with around 50 travel agents expected to graduate from the course by the end of the year.

“ProStart has significantly reduced the time required for new recruits to become assets to a business, which has in turn alleviated time and cost pressures on agency managers,” he added.

“It has also ensured new starters feel supported and provides them with a pathway to further qualifications, which encourages them to remain in the travel industry.

“ProAdvance builds on that platform by extending the same support to more experienced consultants.”

Hunter says ProAdvance will be offered to Travellers Choice members under a user-pays arrangement, “but with significantly discounted costs.”

Another initiative unveiled at the 2025 TC conference in Melbourne was a new suite of business intelligence reporting, rolling out in February and designed to “turbo-charge” members sales activity.

“This will be a great development for individual members, great for Travellers Choice as a group and also great for our preferred partners as we elevate those sales conversations with data-driven analysis,” said Mr Hunter.

The 2026 conference will take place in Perth from November 27-29.
