Pat Monneron has been appointed General Sales Agent for the Australian market for Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand.
The move is designed to strengthen the group’s presence ahead of anticipated growth in trans-Tasman travel.
Based in Sydney, Mr Monneron will serve as the group’s dedicated representative across corporate Travel Management Company relationships, MICE, entertainment and sporting accounts, and direct corporate contracting for New Zealand properties.
Melanie Beattie, Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand Vice President Sales and Partnerships, said Mr Monneron’s deep knowledge of the Australian market made him an outstanding representative.
“His appointment strengthens our ability to engage directly with the TMC community, professional conference organisers and corporate travel buyers who are looking for New Zealand’s best hotel experiences,” Ms Beattie said.
Mr Monneron brings more than 30 years of experience across global travel distribution, corporate account management and MICE development, with senior roles at Accor, Mirvac Hotels and Resorts, Radisson Hotels and Resorts and Tourism Western Australia. He established his firm Elite Representation Asia Pacific in 2013.

Mr Monneron said the timing of the role was encouraging.
“Geopolitical shifts and a favourable exchange rate are likely to drive increased demand from Australians choosing New Zealand for both leisure and business travel. Millennium Hotels and Resorts is exceptionally well-placed to capture that demand,” Mr Monneron said.
As part of his role, Mr Monneron will increase the group’s visibility at key industry events, including AIME and FACTS, and work closely with airline partners to develop end-to-end travel solutions for group and incentive clients.
