PONANT Explorations has named Gino Andreetta as Chief Client and Hospitality Officer, a newly created role designed to elevate the end-to-end guest experience across the expedition cruise line.

Benoit-Etienne Domenget, PONANT Explorations CEO, said the appointment came at a defining moment in the company’s development.

“His exceptional international background, his proven ability to successfully drive premium positioning and his deep understanding of client expectations make him uniquely positioned to help us achieve our North Star ambition,” Mr Domenget said.

Mr Andreetta brings more than 35 years of international experience in luxury travel and hospitality across four continents, most recently with Club Med where he drove premium repositioning initiatives, accelerated digital transformation and transformed customer experience standards.

Reporting directly to the CEO and joining the Executive Committee, Mr Andreetta will lead a division bringing together Hotel Design and Operations, Product Design and Development, Explorations, Client Satisfaction and Onboard Activities.

Mr Andreetta takes up the post on July 1.
