Air Canada has revealed its most significant cabin investment, unveiling new long-haul cabin designs at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg under the banner of its new Glowing Hearted standard.

Mark Nasr, Air Canada Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, said the investment was about fundamentally redefining the flying experience.

“From the moment of stepping on board, we’re setting a new standard for how Canadians and the world connect with our brand. Details matter: we listened closely to feedback and challenged ourselves to create an experience defined by a strong Canadian sense of place, alongside a commitment to craftsmanship, functionality, and long-term durability,” Mr Nasr said.

The new cabins will debut on two aircraft types. The A321XLR will feature 14 lie-flat Signature Class seats, the first time lie-flat seating has been available on a single-aisle aircraft in Canada, alongside 4K OLED screens and Bluetooth audio throughout.

The Boeing 787-10 will introduce the exclusive Air Canada Signature Plus Suite, featuring a two-metre bed, quartzite-topped table, dedicated guest seat and a retractable sliding privacy panel for guests travelling together.

All cabins across both aircraft will feature new ergonomic seats with built-in tablet holders, larger overhead bins, 4K OLED screens and USB-C and AC power outlets at every seat.

The cabin design draws inspiration from Canada throughout, with Air Canada Signature red stitching, natural wood grain details, bronze metal accents and a backlit canopy of maple leaves greeting passengers as they board the A321XLR.

Air Canada is also upgrading interiors across its broader fleet, with A320 and A321 aircraft moving to the mainline fleet and 737 MAX aircraft transitioning to Air Canada Rouge in 2026.
