Coral Expeditions and Australian Geographic are expanding their long-standing partnership with the launch of two dedicated photography-focused Kimberley expeditions in 2027.
The new A Lens on Nature: The Kimberley voyages will offer guests the opportunity to explore one of Australia’s most spectacular wilderness regions while developing their nature and wildlife photography skills alongside like-minded travellers.
Building on a collaboration that began in 2018, the voyages reflect both organisations’ shared commitment to conservation, education and meaningful engagement with the natural world.
Operating aboard the 72-guest Coral Discoverer, the all-inclusive eight-night expeditions will depart roundtrip from Broome and are limited to just 60 guests per departure, allowing for a more intimate and immersive experience.
Designed specifically for photography enthusiasts and visual storytellers, the voyages will focus on capturing the Kimberley’s dramatic landscapes, diverse wildlife and remote natural habitats. Guests will have opportunities to photograph rugged coastlines, cascading waterfalls, ancient rock formations and native wildlife while exploring some of Australia’s most inaccessible regions.
Two departures have been scheduled for 2027:
- July 30 to August 6, 2027
- August 27 to September 3, 2027
Fares start from AU$9,400 per person and include accommodation, meals, guided excursions and expedition activities.
The Kimberley remains one of Australia’s most sought-after expedition cruise destinations, renowned for its towering sandstone cliffs, rich Indigenous heritage, abundant wildlife and pristine waterways.
With limited guest numbers and a strong focus on photography and nature immersion, the new voyages are expected to appeal to both experienced photographers and travellers looking to see the Kimberley through a different lens.
