Adventure World has unveiled a new 14-day luxury rail itinerary, ‘Rails Across the Rockies’, marking a major addition to North American rail travel for 2026.
The journey features the debut of Canyon Spirit, a new three-day daylight rail experience connecting Denver and Salt Lake City through the landscapes of the American Southwest.
Developed by the team behind Rocky Mountaineer, the experience is designed to showcase the region entirely by day, with overnight stays in Glenwood Springs and Moab.

The itinerary reflects growing demand for slower, more immersive travel, combining scenic rail journeys with cultural and historical experiences.
Alongside Canyon Spirit, the 14-day journey includes travel on five historic railways across Colorado, including the well known Pikes Peak Cog Railway. Guests experience a mix of high altitude routes, desert canyons and mountain scenery throughout the itinerary.
On board, travellers can expect glass domed coaches, storytelling led by onboard hosts and menus inspired by regional cuisine, designed to complement the journey through the Southwest.
Beyond the rail experience, the itinerary includes visits to key natural landmarks such as Rocky Mountain National Park, the Great Salt Lake and Antelope Island.
Kristy Prince, Product Manager North America, Adventure World, said the itinerary was designed for travellers seeking a deeper connection to the journey itself.
“We designed this itinerary for travellers who want more than just a destination. Watching the landscapes shift from the Rocky Mountains to the red rock deserts of Utah from a luxury rail carriage offers a truly unique experience,” she said.

With growing interest in experiential and rail based travel, ‘Rails Across the Rockies’ positions Adventure World at the forefront of a renewed appreciation for scenic, story driven journeys.
