Cathay has partnered with The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation to support patients at The Prince Charles Hospital and Caboolture Hospital through the donation of Comfort Packs.
Cathay members can use 3,310 Asia Miles, valued at $32, to fund a pack containing basic essentials such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, hand lotion, a T-shirt, shorts and a puzzle book.
The initiative is being delivered through The Common Good, the Foundation’s community and fundraising program. Cathay will also donate 50 Comfort Packs to mark the start of the partnership.
Aldric Chau, Cathay Regional General Manager Southeast Asia and Oceania, said the program would provide practical support to patients admitted unexpectedly and without basic personal items.
Steve Francia, The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation Chief Executive Officer, said access to simple essentials could make a meaningful difference to patients during what can be a vulnerable time.
The partnership comes as The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation marks 40 years of activity, having contributed more than $78 million to adult and paediatric healthcare initiatives.
