Veriu Group has opened its second property in the ACT, further strengthening the apartment hotel operator’s presence in the capital following the launch of Punthill Tuggeranong in 2024.

Located in Canberra’s inner south, the 86-key Punthill Narrabundah offers studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, two-bedroom interconnecting and accessible apartments.

Each category has a fully equipped kitchen, streaming-enabled television, high-speed internet and in-room laundry. Select apartments include balconies or courtyards.

Zed Sanjana, Veriu Group CEO, said Canberra’s demand profile made it an ideal market for the Punthill product.

“Canberra is a unique market in the Australian accommodation landscape, underpinned by a stable and diverse mix of demand drivers including government, defence, education and corporate travel. These segments frequently require longer stays and that’s where the Punthill product really resonates,” Mr Sanjana said.

The property’s inner-south location offers convenient access to Parliament House, key government precincts, Canberra Airport and the Brindabella Business Park.

Nearby Manuka and Kingston provide cafes, restaurants and retail, while the National Gallery of Australia, Questacon and Manuka Oval are all easily accessible.

Punthill Narrabundah is now open with rates starting from $150 per night. Veriu Group currently has eight new hotels under construction across Australia, including properties in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Albury.
