Adventure World is celebrating Polar Bear Week by spotlighting journeys designed to bring travellers face-to-face with the world’s most famous apex predator in its natural habitat.

Founded by Polar Bears International, the annual awareness week (Nov 1-7) coincides with the peak polar bear viewing season in Churchill, Manitoba, as the bears await the formation of the Hudson Bay’s sea ice and a return to seal hunting.

This year’s focus on coexistence highlights the importance of protecting Arctic ecosystems.

Led by expert local naturalists and expedition teams, Adventure World’s tailor-made journeys blend unforgettable wildlife viewings with a deep commitment to sustainable travel.

“Seeing wildlife in its natural habitat can change the way we understand a destination. It’s also one of the most powerful experiences you can have – seeing these utterly magnificent predators for the first time,” says Anna Burgdorf, Head of Product, Adventure World.

“With experienced local guides and expedition teams, these journeys offer more than the possibility of a polar bear sighting.

“They introduce travellers to the wider ecosystem, the people who call these places home and the challenges facing wildlife. That deeper understanding is central to our Travel with Purpose ethos.”
