Azamara Announces Next-Gen Wellness Services

Azamara Cruises has unveiled fleetwide wellness renovations, introducing dedicated couples treatment rooms, a new spa retail destination and expanded Medi-spa and IV offerings.

The upgrades are part of the ongoing partnership between the cruise line and OneSpaWorld and are centred around THE SANCTUM, the onboard spa (main image).

The upgrades will roll out as each Azamara ship enters a scheduled dry dock as part of the company’s fleet-wide enhancement program, Azamara Forward.

The move reflects a shared investment in the guest wellness journey and a continued commitment by both organisations to delivering elevated, transformative experiences at sea.

The first installations are scheduled aboard Azamara Pursuit in August followed by Azamara Quest in November, with additional ship enhancements planned for 2027.

Renovation timelines are expected to range from two to four weeks per vessel, depending on the scope of work required.

“THE SANCTUM has always been about creating a deeply personalised and restorative wellness journey at sea, and these enhancements allow us to elevate that vision even further,” said Martha Brabham, Vice President, Design & Revitalization at Azamara Cruises.

“From expanded treatment spaces to thoughtfully curated retail and the introduction of advanced wellness services, every element has been designed to enrich how our guests feel, connect and rejuvenate while sailing with Azamara.”

Wellness Wisdom

For two decades, Dr. Stacy Sims has been telling the sporting and medical world something it didn’t want to hear: women are not small men and it’s time to stop treating them that way.

The world is clearly listening. More than a million people follow her work.

Her TEDx talk Women Are Not Small Men has reached practitioners, coaches and active women across the globe. Her books ROAR and Next Level have reshaped how the fitness and wellness industries think about female physiology.

With a PhD from the University of Otago, research programs across some of the world’s leading institutions and more than 100 peer-reviewed papers to her name, she is as rigorous as she is influential. This is not someone who talks about changing the conversation. She has changed it.

At the 2026 Wellness Tourism Summit, she will be exploring how healthy ageing, preventative wellbeing and longevity are reshaping traveller behaviour and what that means for the opportunities ahead in our industry.
