Regent Phu Quoc in Vietnam has been named ‘Best Resort in Southeast Asia’ in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2026.
The property also ranked 58th in the World’s 100 Best Hotels among more than 661,000 reader votes.
The all-suite and villa resort on Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island combines contemporary design with six dining destinations, holistic wellness and immersive cultural programming alongside a UNESCO-designated World Biosphere Reserve.
The recognition comes as Australian demand for premium short and medium-haul luxury holidays continues to grow, with Vietnam increasingly appealing to travellers seeking exceptional accommodation, world-class dining and wellness escapes.

Building on the award, Regent Phu Quoc has unveiled ‘An Island Renewed’, a curated program running July to October featuring Michelin-led culinary residencies, contemporary Vietnamese art, restorative wellness experiences and private yacht adventures.
Wellness is a defining pillar of the resort, with The Spa offering bespoke programs developed by Dr Tomson Jose, a Doctor of Natural Medicine.
A newly launched Quartz Earth Ritual combines heated quartz sand therapy, Dead Sea mud, massage and sound healing for deep relaxation.
The resort’s culinary program is anchored by signature restaurant Oku, showcasing Japanese precision and French refinement through its Omakase Atelier and Salon de Boeuf.
Phu Quoc was also named the number one island in Asia in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
