Travel Talk has partnered with the Wellness Tourism Summit to give five lucky travel distributors the chance to win a double pass to this year’s event in Byron Bay, with a total prize pool valued at $13,000.

Taking place at Crystalbrook Byron on 27 and 28 August 2026, the Summit brings together travel advisors and distributors, accommodation and retreat providers, media and wellness businesses to explore the trends and commercial opportunities shaping wellness travel.

For travel distributors, this is a timely opportunity to understand a sector that is moving rapidly into the mainstream. Australia is now ranked as the world’s fifth-largest wellness tourism market, recording 15.7 million wellness trips in 2024. The nation’s broader wellness economy is valued at more than $43 billion, demonstrating the scale of consumer interest in experiences that support physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

From retreats and spa escapes to nature-based journeys, active holidays, mindfulness programs and culturally immersive experiences, wellness is influencing the way travellers choose destinations, products and itineraries. The Summit will help distributors identify new products, better understand changing customer expectations and build stronger partnerships with suppliers working across this expanding category.

The program begins on Thursday with Wellness Connect, a curated business networking experience designed to connect delegates with operators, destinations, distributors, suppliers and industry leaders. It is followed by the Welcome to Wellness function, offering a relaxed setting to reconnect with colleagues and begin conversations ahead of the main conference.

On Friday, delegates can start the day with Wake Up to Wellness, a complimentary program of morning wellness experiences held in and around the Byron Bay venue. These optional sessions are designed to ground, energise and connect participants before the conference begins.

The full-day Friday conference features more than 20 global and local speakers presenting research, emerging trends, practical insights and industry case studies. Delegates will hear from leaders helping to shape the future of wellness tourism and gain ideas they can use when developing, packaging and selling wellness-led travel experiences.

The experience also includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, along with a Wellness Tourism Summit tote bag filled with curated wellness products valued at more than $100.

Beyond the conference sessions, delegates will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders, discover innovative wellness products and experiences, and gain fresh ideas to help meet growing demand for transformative travel. It is an investment in professional development, industry connections and future business opportunities, all while experiencing one of Australia’s most recognised wellness destinations.

Travel Talk readers now have the chance to be part of it. Five winners will each receive a double pass to the Wellness Tourism Summit, creating an outstanding opportunity for travel distributors to attend with a colleague, strengthen their industry knowledge and return to their businesses with new contacts, commercial insights and product inspiration.
