Avalon Waterways will welcome back Australasian travel advisors aboard a dedicated full ship charter on the Danube next year.

The decision follows overwhelming industry response and strong commercial results from its inaugural sailing earlier this year.

From March 19 to 26, 120 advisors will enjoy Avalon’s Danube Dreams itinerary, cruising from Budapest to Vilshofen on a dedicated advisor-only charter – the second annual sailing of its kind for the region.

The eight-day sailing will be complemented by a series of structured training sessions, interactive workshops and Q&A opportunities with senior Globus family of brands leadership to further develop advisor’s product knowledge and sharpen their ability to sell across the wider Globus portfolio.

The 2026 charter delivered measurable results, with participating agents driving significant passenger bookings to date.

Brett Simon, Head of Commercial Australasia at Globus family of brands, said the outcomes validated the program’s expansion.

“The 2026 charter proved that advisors who experience Avalon Waterways first-hand are not only more confident selling our ships but become genuine advocates for the brand,” he added.

“The results from our inaugural charter exceeded expectations and we’re looking forward to bringing back a charter for our advisors in 2027.”

Pam Hoffee, President of Avalon Waterways, will again join the sailing, reinforcing Avalon’s commitment to engaging directly with the trade.

“Spending time with our Australian and New Zealand advisor community onboard is invaluable, there is no better way to build the kind of deep product knowledge that translates into sales confidence and genuine advocacy,” she said.

Throughout the week, advisors will participate in dedicated training sessions covering key product pillars, selling techniques and the broader Globus family of brands portfolio, alongside opportunities to experience Avalon’s hallmark choice in excursions, ‘Active, Discovery and Classic’, across iconic Danube destinations.

A post-charter coach touring option is also expected to be offered, giving advisors the opportunity to further explore Europe with Globus, with further details to follow.
