Australian travellers can now access free flights to Alice Springs when booking a travel experience in the Red Centre as part of the Government’s $8.5 million investment in Central Australian tourism.

Launched by Tourism Central Australia in partnership with NT Now, the ‘Fly Free to Alice’ campaign is the latest phase of the Government’s $5 million Red Centre Marketing Boost.

The new incentive builds on the two-year ‘Head for the Heart’ campaign that highlights lesser-known trips and destinations across the region.

Senator Don Farrell, Minister for Trade and Tourism, said the funding would help tell the Red Centre’s remarkable story to the world.

“We are delivering $8.5 million in targeted support to the Red Centre to support local businesses, jobs and communities. This funding will help to create new experiences and drive the tourism that is a lifeblood for the region,” Senator Farrell said.

Alongside the marketing push, $2.5 million in grants has been delivered to 17 tourism businesses through the Red Centre Tourism Development Fund, supporting operators to invest in new experiences that encourage visitors to stay longer and explore more of the region.

Danial Rochford, Tourism Central Australia CEO, said the investment worked on two fronts.

“The Red Centre Marketing Boost is powering campaigns like Fly Free to Alice that bring more Australians to our region, while the Red Centre Tourism Development Fund is backing 17 local operators to create the new experiences that make a visit here unforgettable,” Mr Rochford said.

The $8.5 million investment also includes the $1 million Alice Springs Revival and Resilience grant program launched in November 2025.
