VOMO Island Resort has completed a multi-million dollar refurbishment in Fiji, reopening in April with redesigned dining, social and arrival spaces intended to improve the guest experience while retaining the resort’s established character.
The project was completed with long-time design partner Uplift Architects and architect Mark Ritchie, with a focus on creating greater openness and stronger connections between spaces while maintaining privacy.
At the centre of the refurbishment is the redesigned Vuda precinct, which now brings together several dining and relaxation areas including Vuda Courtyard, Vuda Lounge, Vuda Bar, private cabanas, Vuda Terrace and a dedicated event space.
The resort’s kitchen has also doubled in size, with expanded preparation areas, new equipment and operational improvements supporting the updated food and beverage program.
Guests will also arrive through a new dedicated Arrival Lounge, complemented by a reflection pond and circular deck. The space can also be used for private cocktails, celebrations and small events.
Dining has been refreshed across Vuda Bar & Restaurant, The Rocks Restaurant and In-Villa Dining, with lunch and dinner menus rotating daily.
Seasonal produce is incorporated where possible, including ingredients grown in VOMO’s own kitchen garden.
The refurbishment marks the latest stage in the resort’s ongoing investment in its guest experience, with the changes centred on dining, social spaces and the arrival journey.
