Bookings have just opened for an intimate luxury resort and wellness retreat debuting in Bali next year.
The 12-villa resort will open in Taro, Ubud, in July, combining personalised wellness, dining and a low capacity approach to hospitality.
Casa Tuya has been developed by entrepreneur, designer and photographer Christopher Katke and will operate with the private freestanding villas and a staff to guest ratio of five to one.
Guests will be able to choose from three signature programs, Solo, Mindful and Wellness, with each designed around different goals including personal reflection, guided wellness and restorative stays.
The property will also feature Tio Tio, a Mediterranean restaurant centred on wood and charcoal cooking, alongside a collection of wellness experiences and activities available on site.
Mr Katke said the resort had been designed to give guests space to slow down rather than follow a tightly structured retreat model.
“Every detail, from the size of the property to the food we serve, was built around one idea: that you can’t manufacture transformation; you can only create the conditions for it,” Mr Katke said.
His background spans photography, culinary training, interior design and hospitality, including time working alongside Annie Leibovitz, training at the French Culinary Institute and working at Michelin starred Annisa in New York.
