Bunnik Tours has hosted a group of Australian travel agents on a six-day educational trip to South Korea, offering first-hand insight into the destination and the company’s small group touring style.
Delivered in partnership with Korea Tourism Organization and Singapore Airlines, the famil followed a curated itinerary from Seoul to Gyeongju, Busan and Gwangju.
Hosted by Walter Delorie, Business Development Manager NSW and ACT, the trip focused on building product knowledge while immersing agents in South Korea’s culture, history and cuisine.

Highlights And Cultural Experiences
The group visited major landmarks including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and the UNESCO listed Bulguksa Temple, alongside a sunset cruise in Busan.
Experiences extended beyond key sights, with visits to Juknokwon Bamboo Forest in Damyang and the Traditional Culture Centre in Gwangju.
A hands on kimchi making session was a standout moment for the group.
“Food is such an important part of Korean culture, so being able to get involved and learn the process behind kimchi was a fantastic experience,” said Mr Delorie.
Agents also visited a traditional Korean spa where they experienced treatments including bubble sense therapy and sound floating.

Driving Future Sales
The group travelled with Singapore Airlines with Mr Delorie noting strong feedback across the experience.
“Educational trips like this are invaluable in helping agents truly understand the destinations and experiences we offer, and we’re excited to see that enthusiasm translate into future South Korea bookings,” he said.
