HX Expeditions has unveiled a refined new pre expedition experience exclusively for Antarctica Suite guests, launching from the 2025/2026 season. Designed to provide a calm and luxurious transition to the White Continent, the new offering begins even before guests step onboard.
From this season, Antarctica Suite guests departing from Ushuaia will enjoy an exclusive stay at the Arakur Resort & Spa prior to embarkation. Perched high within the Cerro Alarkén Nature Reserve, the resort offers sweeping views across Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel, combining contemporary Patagonian design with a deep sense of tranquillity.
On arrival in Ushuaia, suite guests will be personally welcomed by the HX Expeditions team and transferred directly to Arakur, just 20 minutes from the port. To ensure a seamless and stress free experience, guests’ main luggage will be transported directly to the ship for embarkation, leaving them free to travel light and relax from the moment they arrive.
At the resort, guests will be treated to a gourmet lunch before enjoying several hours at leisure. They can unwind in the spa, swim in the indoor or outdoor pools, or simply take in the dramatic Patagonian landscape that surrounds the property. A remote check in process takes place behind the scenes, allowing guests to enjoy the resort without interruption while all embarkation formalities are handled for them.
Spa treatments and massages can also be arranged directly with the hotel, subject to availability, adding an extra layer of indulgence to the experience.
