A newly launched cruise travel agency has surpassed £1 million in sales less than two months after opening and is now recruiting experienced travel advisors in the UK and US to keep pace with demand.

The Cruise Globe expects monthly cruise sales to exceed £1 million by September, with an ambition to reach £50 million in annual turnover during 2027.

The business combines its travel agency operation with a cruise tracking app used by 155,000 cruisers. Customer data including previous cruise lines, ports and destinations is used to give advisors greater insight into a traveller’s preferences before the booking conversation begins.

Matt Jones, The Cruise Globe CEO and co-founder, said recruitment had quickly become one of the company’s main priorities.

“We’re experiencing growth much faster than we anticipated,” Mr Jones said. “Our biggest challenge isn’t now finding customers, it’s hiring enough great travel advisors to keep up with demand.”

The agency is also using AI powered tools to handle administrative and repetitive tasks, while maintaining a human led approach to cruise recommendations and bookings.

“Our advisors use smart, AI-powered tools behind the scenes to take care of the busywork, but the job of guiding a client toward their next cruise will always sit with a person,” Mr Jones said.

The Cruise Globe was co-founded by Jones, Will Ellison and cruise content creator Emma Le Teace, known as Emma Cruises. The business is affiliated with Global Travel Collection, part of Internova Travel Group.
