Aussies looking for the next big thing in Bali need look no further than a luxury hotel in Seminyak which is launching two exciting new attractions.

W Bali – Seminyak is introducing Alunê, a new multi-sensorial beachfront destination taking over the former Woobar site, alongside Club Lacoste, a new padel and lifestyle concept created in partnership with the famous French fashion brand.

The two new venues are designed to give visitors even more reasons to spend time at the resort, combining beachside dining, sunset experiences, sport, wellness, fashion and socialising in one location.

Alunê is the headline arrival, bringing a fresh take on the traditional Bali beach club experience with a design inspired by the natural rhythms of Seminyak’s coastline.

The venue has been created around the area’s beach-front location, which gives guests front row seats (and cabanas!) to the sun setting directly over the Indian Ocean.

Designers have incorporated the colours of the sunset throughout the venue. The indoor bar features hand-cut mosaic tiles and orange tinted glass which glow with warm amber and gold tones as the sun goes down.

The space also uses materials including Rosso Alicante marble, green quartzite and grey teakwood, while custom barstools and the hand carved timber bar are designed around flowing, wave-like shapes.

“Alunê represents an exciting new chapter for W Bali – Seminyak,” said Laurens Kritzinger, General Manager, W Bali – Seminyak.

“We’ve created more than a beach club – we’ve created a destination inspired by Bali’s natural rhythm, where exceptional dining, immersive entertainment, thoughtful design, and meaningful connections come together.”

Food is a major focus, with Alunê moving beyond standard beach club fare with a more chef driven approach to coastal cuisine.

Menu highlights include a lobster roll with spring onion and ikura, as well as catch of the day sashimi served with ponzu, chilli oil and lime.

As afternoon turns into evening, Alunê’s Sunset Ritual brings together twilight cocktails and live music, creating a dedicated golden hour experience.

The drinks menu includes signature cocktails such as Ivory Tide, Solaris Spritz and Soft Current, while a selection of six wellness mocktails caters to guests looking for alcohol free options.

While there are numerous beach bars and places to relax and watch the sunset in Bali, the private pool cabanas at Alunê take some beating. Watching the sun go down with a cool libation in hand with my toes dangling in the attached Jacuzzi was a great way to end the day…or any day.

“Alunê reflects the way today’s travellers seek experiences that blend wellness, socialising and culinary discovery in one unforgettable setting,” added Laurens. Amen to that.

Joining Alunê is Club Lacoste, which marks a major new chapter in W Bali – Seminyak’s relationship with the French fashion house.

The partnership is Lacoste’s longest running Club Lacoste collaboration in the Asia Pacific region and introduces two dedicated padel courts alongside an official Lacoste retail boutique.

The boutique will showcase the brand’s latest padel collection, including Lacoste’s first dedicated padel capsule featuring its own rackets and footwear.

Guests will also be able to browse Lacoste fragrances, watches, eyewear, apparel and accessories, extending the concept beyond sport into a broader fashion and lifestyle experience.

The courts will be open daily from 8am to 8pm and available not only to W Bali guests but also to the wider community.

“We are excited to introduce this collaboration with Lacoste as part of our continued commitment to creating fresh lifestyle experiences for our guests and community,” said Jeffrey Chan, Director of Marketing at W Bali – Seminyak.

“Looking ahead, we aim to further develop this partnership through a series of unique activations that celebrate the intersection of sport, fashion and culture at W Bali – Seminyak.”

For Aussie travellers heading to Bali, this exciting new combination provides another reason to put Seminyak on the itinerary, particularly for those looking beyond traditional beach days and seeking a mix of food, wellness, sport, fashion and nightlife.

W Bali – Seminyak opened in 2011 as the first W Hotels property in Indonesia and today features 152 guest rooms, suites and 75 private pool villas, along with a collection of dining, wellness and entertainment venues.
