Holland America Line will mark 80 years of Alaska cruising in 2027 with a new collection of Heritage Tours connecting travellers with experiences that have formed part of its regional programs for generations.

More than three dozen tours will be available across selected cruises and Cruisetours, covering Alaska’s railways, glaciers, wildlife, wilderness and national parks.

Experiences include the McKinley Explorer Railroad, White Pass Summit Scenic Railroad, Mendenhall Glacier Explorer, Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise and Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour.

Carole Biencourt, Holland America Line Vice President Onboard Revenue, said many of the experiences travellers seek in Alaska today have remained popular for decades.

“As we approach our 80th season in the region, we’re proud that the experiences featured in our Alaska Heritage Tours collection have been part of the Holland America Line journey since our earliest explorations of Alaska in the 1940s,” Ms Biencourt said.

Cruisetours featuring Denali and the Yukon will provide the broadest access to the collection, including journeys aboard the glass-domed McKinley Explorer and selected Denali experiences. Yukon itineraries will also incorporate the historic White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad.

Other options include Alaska Explorer and Inside Passage itineraries with Mendenhall Glacier experiences, the 28-day ‘Legendary Alaska Arctic Circle’ voyage and Glacier Discovery sailings beginning or ending in Whittier.

The Alaska Heritage Tours collection is now available to book on selected 2027 Alaska cruises and Cruisetours.
