Australian tourism businesses participating in the Quality Tourism Framework recorded a Global Review Index score of more than 90% in the third quarter of 2026, outperforming both the global average of 87% and the Oceania average of 84.3%.

The Global Review Index measures guest satisfaction using reviews and ratings published across multiple online platforms, allowing tourism businesses to benchmark their performance against wider industry and regional results.

Erin McLeod, Australian Tourism Industry Council CEO, said the result reflected the standard of experiences being delivered by businesses participating in the framework.

“Achieving a GRI above 90% is an excellent result, particularly when compared with global and regional averages, and reflects the dedication of participating businesses to delivering outstanding visitor experiences,” Ms McLeod said.

Through the Quality Tourism Framework, participating businesses can access nationally recognised accreditation, business development programs and resources supporting continuous improvement.

Operators also receive access to Shiji ReviewPro Reputation, allowing them to monitor and respond to guest feedback across multiple platforms and identify opportunities to improve the visitor experience.
