Short breaks are gaining momentum among Australian travellers, with recent research revealing more than half prefer a series of mini breaks over one extended trip, with 57% saying shorter trips help them ‘unwind better’.
In response to this demand, Elysia Wellness Retreat has introduced new ‘taster programs’ that start from a single night stay. This gives guests more choice to experience wellness in their own way, whether for a digital detox, a tranquil timeout, or a chance to rest and reset with a partner.
Staying in a premium one-bedroom villa, guests can join a class of their choice from the extensive Daily Wellness Activities menu, which includes both high and low-intensity options such as Pilates, stretch, Fitball, yoga, deep water running, volleyball and cardio boxing.
The ‘Taste of Wellness’ package also includes a $20 spa credit for one guest which can be used towards any treatment in the elegant Elysia Day Spa. It is priced from $425 per night and terms and conditions apply.
The ‘Spa and Wellness Escape’ package includes one class per guest from the Daily Wellness Activities menu, as well as a $150 spa voucher for one guest.
This can be used towards a choice of more than 50 treatments ranging from traditional massage and facials through to breathwork and ice bath immersion, reiki, energy healing and chakra clearing or wellness coaching.
Accommodation in one of the retreat’s premium one-bedroom villas is included. It is priced from $550 per night and terms and conditions apply.
“With each accommodation package including two guests, the challenge will be deciding whether to bring your partner, your best friend, or your mum,” said Melissa Ingram, Elysia Wellness Retreat Manager.
Located in the Hunter Valley in NSW, the retreat takes a holistic approach to health, exercise and nutrition. On-site amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, a fully equipped gymnasium and scenic bushwalking tracks.
The retreat’s extensive Day Spa offers 26 treatment rooms, steam rooms and relaxation lounges, private sun gardens and a purpose-built signature Watsu water therapy pool.
