Australians dreaming of a winter escape or planning next year’s holidays can now take off for less, thanks to Qantas’ latest blockbuster sale.

Dubbed the “Red Tail Sale,” the airline has slashed fares on more than one million seats across its domestic and international network, with prices starting from just $99 one-way. Destinations on sale include more than 60 domestic routes and a range of popular international cities across Asia.

On the home front, travellers can snap up fares like Brisbane to Proserpine from $109, Ballina to Sydney from $109, and Adelaide to Kangaroo Island from $119. Flights between Melbourne and Sydney are on sale from $149. Regional travellers also benefit, with routes such as Perth to Broome from $239.

All domestic fares include checked baggage, in-flight meals, beverages and, on select aircraft, complimentary Wi-Fi—continuing Qantas’ full-service edge over budget competitors.

Internationally, return fares to Asia start from just $519. Sale highlights include Melbourne to Bali from $599 return, Brisbane to Manila from $829, Sydney to Hong Kong from $929, and Tokyo from Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney from $949 return.

The sale aligns with popular seasonal events such as Japan’s summer fireworks festivals and Hong Kong’s Wine and Dine Festival, giving holidaymakers added incentive to lock in a trip.

Travel dates for domestic routes span from late July 2024 to late March 2025, while international fares apply from June 2025 through to the end of March 2026. Seats are limited and the sale ends soon—domestic deals wrap up at 11.59pm AEST on 30 June 2024, while international fares are available until 10 February 2025 unless sold out earlier.

Qantas Frequent Flyers can also use Qantas Points to book sale fares, offering even greater flexibility for members looking to stretch their travel dollars.
