Travellers seeking a more immersive rail experience across North America can now book Amtrak’s legendary sleeper services through Rail Online. The expansion adds a new level of comfort and adventure to Rail Online’s extensive range of North American rail journeys.

Amtrak’s sleeper cars are available on the railway’s long-distance and overnight trains, which wind through some of the continent’s most breathtaking landscapes. These include classic routes like the California Zephyr from California to Chicago via the Rocky Mountains, the Coast Starlight connecting Los Angeles and Seattle, and the Empire Builder, which travels from Chicago to Seattle through Glacier National Park.

Amtrak offers two types of sleeper cars: the two-level Superliner and the single-level Viewliner. Both offer a selection of sleeping options such as roomettes, bedrooms, bedroom suites, and family rooms that can accommodate two adults and two children. Travellers can look forward to all the essentials for a restful journey, including bedding, towels and linens, as well as in-room amenities like restrooms and showers in select accommodations. Guests also enjoy priority boarding and complimentary meals onboard.

Rail Online’s Chief Executive, James Dunne, says the timing couldn’t be better. “Sleeper services are enjoying a real revival across Europe and North America,” says Dunne. “There’s a romance to night trains, and they’re also more environmentally friendly than flying. Travellers love the comfort, generous luggage allowances and unforgettable views.”

Rail Online continues to make it easier for travel agents to tap into the global rail sector, offering seamless booking and itinerary management. All live inventory is priced in Australian dollars, and travel consultants can self-manage any changes along the way.
