Dennis Bunnik has been re-elected unopposed as Chair for his sixth consecutive term. Returning to the Board for a further term are Martin Edwards, The Explorer Society, and James O’Donnell, The Travel Corporation.
Five current Directors remain mid-term and were not up for re-election this year: Lisa Pagotto, Crooked Compass (Vice-Chair); Aaron Zoanetti, Frontera Law; Ingrid Berthelsen, Evolution Travel Collective; Brad McDonnell, Entire Travel Group and Sean Martin, G Adventures.
“The ongoing presence of Dennis, along with our mid-term and returning Directors, ensures continuity and a depth of insight as CATO continues its important work exclusively representing tour operators and wholesalers,” said Brett Jardine, CATO Managing Director.
CATO also welcomed two new Directors: Amanda Highfield, General Manager at Greece & Mediterranean Travel Centre, and Chris Hall, recently appointed CEO of the Globus family of brands.
Amanda brings extensive experience from senior leadership roles at Wendy Wu Tours and Bill Peach Journeys, along with a strong connection to the land supply sector.
Chris brings more than two decades of senior leadership at APT and a unique perspective as co-founder of boutique cycling tour company and CATO member, Tour de Vines.
“Our Board line-up reflects the depth, diversity and leadership excellence within our membership,” added Jardine.
“Dennis’s reappointment and the continued service of our Directors provide crucial stability, while Amanda and Chris bring fresh insights at a pivotal time for the touring sector. We are excited about the direction ahead.”
