Q: What was your reaction when Luxury Escapes approached you to host a wellness retreat in Sri Lanka?

A: I was so excited when Luxury Escapes first approached me about this trip.

So many of my favourite things all rolled in to one amazing trip, from the yoga and meditation to the food and also just taking a little time away from the rushed merry-go-round (and my phone!) that is my life (like so many other busy mums).

Q: What are you most looking forward to about your time away?

A: I am most looking forward to nine days of peace and quiet, even though I will of course miss my kids – not so much the noise and mess that comes with them.

Q: As a busy mum of four, what wellness tips and tricks do you use in your everyday life that you can pass on?

A: In everyday life I try and carve out time for regular Pilates or some kind of sporty exercise simply because it makes me feel better and is better for me, but it will be a real treat to have a whole week of wellness focus.

Q: Finally, what are some of your favourite places to holiday with the family, both here and abroad?

A: In Australia, Broome is one of my favourite places to holiday, especially in winter.

We did a family trip there in July and really enjoyed doing the simple things like having fish and chips by the beach, reading a book poolside, hanging out together and basically chill-axing.

I also love holidays that combine relaxation with outdoor activities like golf, tennis or trekking.

We are heading to Thailand next month and I am definitely keen to get in a few cheeky rounds of golf and maybe a massage or two.
