Nand brings more than 29 years’ experience in the travel industry across Australia and Canada, with an extensive background in business development and strategic partnerships in the wholesale, cruise and retail sectors.
He has previously worked for Avalon Waterways, MSC Cruises and APT, and for the past six years has been in the role of General Manager and Co-Owner of Rediscover Travel Group.
“I’m excited to be back on the road, representing a company that is so well-established and respected within the travel industry,” said Mr Nand.
Sun Island Tours are Australia’s largest Mediterranean and Middle Eastern travel wholesaler, owned and operated by the same Australian family since 1989.
They specialise in tours, cruises and independent packages to Greece, Croatia and the Balkans, Türkiye, Cyprus, Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Egypt and Jordan.
John Polyviou, Joint CEO of Sun Island Tours, said he was thrilled to welcome Water to the team.
“His longstanding relationships with Australian agents will be a huge asset to us. We sought to fill this position in response to feedback from our yearly survey to travel agents. It was clear that agents want face-to-face training and interaction with BDMs.”
