The eight-day educational saw agents experience a unique blend of two Bunnik Tours’ travelling styles, enjoying elements from both the classic ‘Türkiye in Depth’ and deluxe ‘Türkiye In-Style’ small group tours.

The famil was designed to showcase the best of these two popular tours, while reinforcing Türkiye’s appeal as a bucket-list destination for Australian travellers.

Agents witnessed Istanbul’s landmarks, went on a Bosphorus cruise, explored the ancient ruins of Troy and Ephesus and the terraces of Pamukkale before enjoying a stay at Istanbul’s legendary Pera Palace Hotel.

A particular highlight for the group was visiting Gallipoli with a specialist guide, exploring locations where significant events that shaped Australia’s national identity took place, including ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials.

“It was an emotional experience,” said Kevin Bishop, Bunnik Tours’ General Manager – Sales, who accompanied the group.

“Being there brought the history and sacrifice of our ANZACs to life and it was a meaningful way to honour their legacy.”

The agents also enjoyed exclusive deluxe experiences, such as a cooking class in the car-free village of Şirince. In this picturesque setting, they learned to make local culinary specialities, including hummus, family-style stew and halva.

“The cooking class was a group favourite activity,” said Zoe Francis, National Sales Manager.

“There is no better way to immerse yourself in a culture than through its cuisine – the aromas, the flavours, the techniques all give you a deep understanding of local life.

“The feedback has been fantastic. This famil has strengthened our connections with trade partners and sparked a real excitement for Türkiye, while giving agents a first-hand experience of what sets Bunnik Tours apart.”
