NRMA Parks and Resorts has introduced an expanded year round pet friendly offering across its holiday parks and resorts, making it easier for Australians to travel with their pets.

The updated policy now applies to 38 properties across Australia’s east coast, meaning around 90 percent of the NRMA Parks and Resorts portfolio welcomes guests travelling with pets including dogs, cats and birds.

Each participating park offers pet friendly sites, while more than half also provide pet friendly cabins or villas. The update also introduces a clearer and more consistent pet policy, alongside a simplified online booking system designed to make planning a holiday with pets easier.

Some parks now include practical features such as dog beds and water bowls in pet friendly cabins. A number of locations have also introduced additional facilities including pet wash stations, welcome packs and designated off leash areas.

Several parks offer dedicated pet facilities. NRMA Port Macquarie Breakwall Holiday Park and NRMA Forster Tuncurry Holiday Park provide pet wash stations and welcome information packs for guests travelling with animals.

At NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort, NRMA Bairnsdale Riverside Holiday Park and NRMA Broulee Holiday Park, pets have access to off leash areas and open spaces designed for exercise and play.

At NRMA Tathra Beachfront Holiday Park, guests can access a pet bathroom with a dog wash. The park also offers direct access to a 300 metre leash free beach.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO Paul Davies said the updated policy reflects the growing role pets play in Australian family travel.

The pet friendly policy is available year round with no blackout dates. This allows travellers to bring pets on holidays including school breaks, long weekends and seasonal trips.
