Entire Travel Group is bringing back its specialist Tahiti brand, Tahiti Travel, as direct flights between Sydney and Papeete prepare to resume in December. The relaunch marks a new chapter for the destination, positioning Tahiti Travel once again at the heart of the Australian market.

Managing Director Brad McDonnell says the revival is more than a brand move. “This isn’t just a relaunch. It’s a statement: Tahiti has a specialist again, and the trade has a partner they can trust.”

Tahiti Travel will operate as a standalone brand under the exclusive domain www.tahititravel.com.au. It will be the only Tahiti specialist in Australia accredited by both ATIA and CATO, with the backing, resources, and operational strength of Entire Travel Group.

McDonnell says the group began planning the relaunch several months ago, strategically aligning it with Air Tahiti Nui’s announcement of direct flight services. A joint marketing campaign with Tahiti Tourisme and Air Tahiti Nui will begin next week, offering exclusive discounts and value-added extras to celebrate the return of direct air access.

“Tahiti Travel is back,” McDonnell says. “But it’s not about nostalgia, it’s about leadership. With the return of direct flights after a 13-year break, the destination needs a credible and secure specialist partner at the front of the market, and that’s exactly what Tahiti Travel is.”

First founded in 2007 as Tahiti Travel Connection, the brand quickly became known as Australia’s leading Tahiti specialist. It continued to perform strongly under Entire Travel Group following a brand consolidation in 2019, but McDonnell says the timing is right to once again give Tahiti its own platform.

Travel agents will now have access to a dedicated Tahiti Travel hub within Entire Travel Group, combining the brand’s destination expertise with the group’s broader resources and support systems.

“We never stepped away from Tahiti – but now Tahiti steps forward again,” McDonnell says. “Our team live and breathe French Polynesia. They know the resorts, the people, and the culture, and with more than 50 collective years of experience selling Tahiti, they are uniquely placed to support Australian agents with confidence.”

The relaunch follows a recent visit to Tahiti by McDonnell and Entire Travel Group Head of Product, Tina Heyer, where they met with key resort partners and Tahiti Tourisme representatives during ParauParau Tahiti. Conversations centred on long-term growth strategies and rebuilding demand from Australia.

With two non-stop flights per week set to take off in December 2026, Tahiti will be closer to Australia than it has been in over a decade – and Tahiti Travel is ready to lead the way.
